Absentee Bidding

Absentee bids are a way of bidding on an item at an auction that you will be unable to attend personally.   If you attend the preview, you simply notify one of the auction personnel of the item you wish to bid on, and the amount you are willing to bid up to.  One of the auction personnel will then bid during the auction up to that amount on the item you have selected.  If you are the winning bidder, you will be notified, and asked to pick up the item, or in some cases, it may be possible to have it shipped to you.

     We strongly urge you to view the items personally prior to bidding.  However, if that is not possible, you may complete the following form and FAX it to (414) 383-8453.  Please note that all absentee bid forms MUST be received by noon on the day preceding the auction.  You are responsible for verifying receipt of the FAX.  This can be done by phoning (414) 383-8180.

     Absentee bids are entered for the opening bid, or the lowest incremental amount over the opening bid on the floor, and are then advanced in keeping with the floor increments until the floor bids cease or the absentee bid is exceeded.

     By completing, signing and faxing the "Irrevocable Absentee Bid Form" you are entering into a binding contract.  Absentee bids below $25.00 will not be accepted.  A 13% buyers fee will be added to all successful absentee bids.  Please note that your credit card will be charged immediately for the total of your highest bids, plus the 13% buyers fee.   If your bids are not successful, or are below your top bids, your credit card will then be credited for the difference.  Shipping charges (if any) will be charged to your credit card when the shipping cost is determined.  If you have any questions, please ask BEFORE completing this form.

* Failure to personally inspect items of interest prior to placing an absentee bid will not permit the absentee bidder to withdraw or cancel their bid or refuse delivery of merchandise.

* All items are sold as is and ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

* Payment for absentee bids must be received and funds cleared prior to shipping.  Shipping costs to be paid by the buyer.   Insurance may be added at cost if desired.

*Betthausers' Auction Service, Inc. will not be held liable for any errors or omissions as to manufacturer, origin, time period, authenticity or condition of items.
